Sis. Teresa Evans finds an effusion of “holy joy” from this passage of scripture. She has been involved in Christian ministry all of her life and has served alongside her husband since their wedding day. Sis. Evans has a passionate burden to see women and children grow in their walk and service to God. As a wife, mother, workingwoman and leader, she brings a broad perspective to the ministry. Her special ministry projects include counseling, motivational seminars, women conferences, retreats, career planning/development workshops, webinars, and strategic educational sessions for at-risk teenagers and victims of domestic violence.
Sis. Evans volunteers her time at her children’s school as well as non-profit organizations, shelters and youth programs. One of her life goals is to develop a progressive and preventative youth advocacy ministry dedicated to the cultural, social, intellectual and spiritual well being of young people.
Sis. Evans has more than twenty years of corporate and community experience in Human Resources. She holds an M.B.A. from the
University of
Phoenix and a Bachelors of Science degree in Management from the
University of
South Carolina at
Columbia . In addition, she holds certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Executive Leadership, Career Counseling & Planning, Interpretive Index and

Sis. Evans places a high priority on family. She is married to her favorite pastor, preacher, teacher and best friend, Dr. John A. Evans, Sr., Pastor of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She has two children: Chesmon and Chelsea, and Sis. Evans is most grateful for her beloved mother, Sis. Sherlene Lindsay.
