Department of Christian Education

Mission Statement:

It is the goal of the Department of Christian Education to plan and maintain a comprehensive program of Christian education in the church.  This includes all aspects of the educational program in matters of the Bible, worship, theology, Christian ethics and so on. 

Specific duties include:

1. The development of concern for Christian education in the church.

2. Adopting educational policies and building a program which is consistent therewith. 

3. Evaluating and selecting curriculum materials for all educational agencies.   

4. Providing for the recruiting and training of workers.

5. Maintaining cooperative relationships with homes. 

6. Maintaining relationships with Christian education interests in the denomination the community.

7. Hearing and considering reports from officers and making reports to the church. 

8. Making and recommending a budget.

9. Helping the Pastor to achieve his educational ideas for the church.
